Nature Middle East talks to paleontologist Matthew Borths about Masrasector nananubis, a new species of an ancient predator.

Fossils, including multiple skulls, jaws, and limb bones, helped the researchers examine what Masrasector ate, how Masrasector and its meat-eating relatives pursued their prey, and how the earliest carnivores in Africa were related to each other.
